Job Description:

We are looking for a full time project Mechanical Engineer with project management experience and technical expertise in the design of HVAC systems that is looking for an opportunity to work for a growing small business. Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.

Detailed Position Description:

The candidate will have the following potential responsibilities based upon their experience:

  • Technical leadership associated with the design of commercial and DOD HVAC systems with an emphasis on energy efficiency
  • Design of petroleum, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Design of building automation systems
  • Energy modeling and LCC analysis
  • Design team management of junior staff
  • Site Investigation
  • Potential domestic and overseas travel
  • Coordination with prime consultants and general contractors
  • Coordination and supervision of sub-consultants and in house electrical engineers
  • LEED Documentation Generation
  • Commissioning

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer certification (FE certification may be acceptable depending on experience)
  • LEED Certified preferred
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • Revit experience
  • 2-10 years of experience in the design of public and/or private commercial mechanical systems
  • Ability to manage junior engineering staff
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Design of plumbing, fire protection, and petroleum distribution systems is a plus
  • US Citizen
