Electrical engineer responsible for the management and completion of assigned projects.
Job Duties
- Management of Engineers, Designers, Modelers, and Drafters for the preparation of electrical permit and construction documents
- Coordination with Owners, Developers, Architects, other Engineering Disciplines, Vendors, and Contractors.
- Layout and circuiting of electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, lightning protection, and other specialty systems, as dictated by project
- Calculations of loads, voltage drop, and fault current
- Development and specifications for riser diagrams which may include UPS, generator(s), and renewable energy source(s)
- Development and editing of project specifications
- Preparation of light fixture and feeder schedules
- Construction Administration including the review of shop drawings and submittals, responding to questions from Clients/Contractors/Inspectors, and site visits to observe and document existing conditions and/or systems installation
Job Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with licensure as a Professional Engineer
- Field experience relating to the installation of commercial electrical systems is preferred, but not required
- Ability to research
- General computer skills with the willingness to learn new programs and applications
- Good work ethic with the ability to multi-task
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor with the ability to conduct themselves properly in an office atmosphere
- Willingness to adapt to company procedures and standards
