Essential Job Responsibilities
Automation support. Assists with machine down time. Updates equipment, solves electrical problems, and gives direction for proper mechanical repairs to Maintenance Department.
Automation development. Supports development and design of electrical systems and PLC programs. Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure machinery is robust and operates effectively.
Participates in continuous improvement activities. Reduces cycle time, down time, and change over time by improving processes, and/or tooling.
Monitors and controls objectives and costs of assigned projects. Establishes and follows program timelines.
Conducts manufacturing process tests. Selects, adapts, and modifies test equipment and procedures; sets up and operates equipment.
Database Development. Develops a Sql Server to mine data output from automated equipment. May code database descriptions and specify database identifiers so data output functions correctly.
Database Administration. Tests, corrects errors and modifies changes to programs and database.
Safety. Ensures corporate compliance to OSHA standards for equipment safety.
Participates as a member of the Operations Team. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies. Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues. Actively look for ways to reinforce actions needed to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
