Generates new business and ensures growth of existing accounts. Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost-benefit of purchasing company products or services. Provides technical training to clients and communicates customer feedback for future product developments. Uses technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision from the Director of Sales, with support from the inside sales team.
Attend internal and external training classes to hone sales skills.
Gain in-depth product knowledge through in-house training and joint customer visits.
Visit existing and new customers to win additional business.
Progress to fully independent sales engineer in-territory within 12-18 months.

This position will quickly progress to a 50% travel position as the Trainee Sales Engineer progresses through training and supervised sales calls.
Initial 12-18 months will be based out of Independence, OH. Field assignments can progress to base anywhere within the assigned territory (NE USA).
