MIQA Engineering Spring Co-op

Chemours is seeking a MIQA Engineering Spring Co-op to join our growing Chemical Solutions team! This position will report directly to the Unit Manager in our Belle, WV location and will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week from.

Students that succeed in Chemours’ internship and co-op program are typically reconsidered for future opportunities within the company! Eager students that are looking to be a catalyst for better are encouraged to apply.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Data mining using the Chemours SAP maintenance management system and process equipment records
Analysis of process equipment data sheets and API inspection reports
Working closely with senior Mechanical and Chemical staff engineers to study Process Safety Management (PSM) Criticality and update the site PSM Criticality Database
Field verification of process equipment design and condition
SAP data entry and correction of equipment records to meet minimum engineering documentation standards

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

Currently enrolled in an ABET accredited program in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
GPA of a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Willing and able to complete the entire 3-6 month assignment
Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel ®

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit :
Previous experience with SAP
Previous experience with Process Safety Management in a chemical process environment
Previous co-op experiences
