Essential Duties

  • Support the assigned project Team in bidding, managing and executing projects.
  • Estimating
  • Obtain bid documents and establish timeline and requirements for response
  • Quickly digest and understand plans, specifications and permit requirements
  • Perform detailed take-offs and quantity analysis
  • Attend pre-bid meetings
  • Request, receive and manage vendor pricing (subs, suppliers and equipment)
  • Prepare bid files in HCSS estimating software * Project Management
  • Prepare and track submittals, RFI’s and related project documentation
  • Coordinate material, equipment, subcontractor and crew resource needs
  • Job cost coding, tracking and invoicing for Team projects * Project Delivery
  • Communicate with and support construction crews in executing projects
  • Travel throughout New England (weekday only) to service niche projects
  • Layout, survey confirmation, quantity tracking and related QC

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the field of civil/site construction or environmental remediation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluid utilization of Excel and Word
  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Certification
  • Valid driving license with clean record

Pluses

  • Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Tech savvy, particularly with best-in-class construction software for estimating (HCSS or similar), project management (HCSS, Procore, etc.) and accounting (Timberline, Foundation, etc.)
  • Experience in self-performing construction companies, particularly civil, site, environmental, marine and related disciplines

Compensation

  • $60K - $90K salary
