Weekly Work Schedule:
The Systems Engineer position has primary responsibility for managing all server & applications infrastructure for Stormont Vail, including Windows, Citrix, VMWare, Exchange as well as a variety of Healthcare applications to ensure maximum performance and uptime. There are 3 tiers of System Engineer, distinguished by level of technical expertise and experience.
Essential Duties and Competencies include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administration & troubleshooting of a Microsoft-centric infrastructure including: Windows Server, SQL, Web, and File & Print servers
Administration & troubleshooting of VMware and Citrix platforms
Administration of Active Directory, Group Policy and Exchange
Administration & support of all Stormont Applications
Develop and grow technical skillset and troubleshooting methodology
Develop strong understanding and ability to troubleshoot, upgrade and otherwise support several Tier 1 & Tier 2 applications
Demonstrate customer service mindset and ability to work effectively as a team with Help Desk staff and third party vendors
Responsible to maintain logon scripts and manage automated delivery of server security patches and anti-virus updates
Strong interpersonal and communications (oral and written) skills ability to document operational procedures, system configurations, and architectural design diagrams
Quickly understand the existing IT environment, identify improvements and ensure it is operating reliably and at peak effectiveness
Monitor system performance to ensure optimal health and availability
Possesses cognitive skills to providing creativity, problem solving, strategic thinking, pragmatism with learning ability in everyday activities
Show dedication to delivering results on-time and on-budget
Understand and adhere to Stormont change management policies
High energy and results oriented. Passionate about technology
Participation in on-call rotation

High school education and experience in a systems administrator, help desk analyst, or other technical role required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Communications or a related field preferred.
Experience with Windows server 2003, 2008 or 2012
An ability and willingness to learn hardware and software products supported at Stormont
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
An ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle and organize multiple tasks
