Job Description
Lead the development/implementation of Grace Reliability Excellence components.
Identify, monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPI’s), and drive data access to the operator/craftsman level.
Performs RCFA’s to ensure long term maintenance equipment problems are appropriately investigated with solutions implemented.
Identify, initiate, coordinate, and complete maintenance process improvement opportunities.
Assist in tracking metrics and generating the monthly maintenance report for area of responsibility.
Assist maintenance personnel by troubleshooting and resolving equipment problems as necessary.
Proactively identify development opportunities to build reliability expertise.
Provide independent quality control of in house and outside contract services.
Facilitates positive change in the Maintenance organization by pro-actively driving department initiatives.
Acts as a change agent in implementing cross-functional plant business objectives.
Reviews major purchases and capital projects to optimize life cycle costs.
Provides input into capital budget to drive improved reliability.
Optimize existing equipment PMs and help create PMs for new equipment.
Give recommendations for spare parts of equipment.
Working closely with corporate reliability leader to develop site maintenance excellence and reliability plan
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills
Ability to organize and prioritize.
Computer proficiency with SAP highly desired (Retrieve data and generate reports).
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent communications skills – work with multiple departments to solve problems.
Understanding of company and industrial design and repair standards and maintenance practices.
Knowledge of proper equipment design and proper operation.
Knowledge of Engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, etc.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Project and Office and other maintenance scheduling tools.
Understand and/or perform PHA, FMEA, CA (Criticality Analysis), Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes: Value-added preventive maintenance tasks, effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility the Reliability Engineer applies:
Works with Production to perform analyses of assets including: Asset Utilization, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, remaining useful life, Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets
Proactive problem-solving approach focused on action.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
Highly motivated and self-starter.
Required Experience
5 + years’ experience, engineering experience preferably in chemical or related manufacturing environment
Prefer to have working experience in PSM site
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Related Engineering Field
Preferred Qualifications
Data analysis techniques that can include: Statistical Process Control, Reliability modeling and prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Weibull Tree Analysis, Six Sigma (6σ) Methodology
