Launched in February 2019, Digital Operating Solutions (DOS) is a full-service web design, software development, and digital marketing agency. We develop business-critical solutions to optimize supply chains in the energy space. We’re looking for team members who are passionate about learning, intellectually curious, and wildly resourceful to match and pace with our growing startup.
As a Front-End Software Engineering Intern at DOS, you will report to the VP of Operations. We’re doing a major design overhaul. You will be tasked to help us rebuild from the ground up, but you’ll have an entire user base and system to enhance your learning. You’ll collaborate in a small Agile/Scrum and take responsibility for building an extensible and adaptable application that is delightful for the customer to use.
What you will do at DOS:
- Be a part of the core engineering team that will form the foundation of a fast growing organization
- Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity
- Interact with customers and customer feedback to build intuitive features
- Come ready to document the features you build
What you will bring to DOS:
\*\*We are rebuilding with BlitzJS + Chakra (experience is not required, but preferred)
- Interest in building an app from the ground up
- Experience tinkering with ReactJS, NextJS or another modern JavaScript web framework (Vue, Angular, etc.)
- Familiarity deploying solo projects, and collaborating on a project with a team
- Familiarity with writing end-to-end tests and unit tests (Jest + Cypress, a plus!)
- Familiarity with interfacing with a SQL database
- Desire to own your work, and deliver features from start to finish

- We’d prefer this internship to be part-time (30 hrs/wk) and start at $18/hr. But we understand people’s situations vary, and can make alternative arrangements on a case-by-case basis.
