Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer on this team you will embrace a common technical vision and develop software that will meet the product functional requirements and design constraints. In this role you will be a leader of the development team supporting planning and status of the team's progress while still contributing to the design, implementation and testing of the product.

The software we develop will monitor and assess aircraft fault data to provide flight deck and maintenance personnel with appropriate information for assessing the health of the aircraft. There will be both on-board (semi-real-time to real-time) and off-board functionality to this software.
Prior experience in developing software products in a complex system is critical to success in this role. These software products will support both commercial and defense aircraft platforms.

Basic Qualifications (Required):
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Must possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Must have experience with the full life cycle process of software systems and development
Must have 1 or more years of experience with embedded real-time software development
Must have experience implementing software using C/C++

Desired Qualifications (Preferred):
Experience developing software solutions in the Java programming language
Experience with the Agile Software development lifecycle
Leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a development environment
Experience working with web-based applications deployed in the cloud

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation.
