Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Space Vehicle Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Las Cruces, NM.

Position will be responsible for command and control of Space Vehicles (SV), telemetry monitoring, and execution and verification of products loaded into the Space Vehicle.

Position will also involve executing procedures, regression testing new baselines and documentation updates.

Position Responsibilities:
Ensures integrity of the ground system and command path in support of the mission.

Uses MS-Windows or UNIX based computers for the development of the operational plan and analysis of data collected in support of planning future contacts or anomaly resolution.

Coordinates with management and peers to ensure the integrity of high quality operational products, including procedures, tools, detailed event logging, and system configuration.

Analyzes technical data, verifies and sustains specific systems configuration in accordance with defined constraints and operational requirements.

Monitors system performance and control system elements by executing commands to change the system configuration in order to achieve mission objectives.

Supports future system testing and integration requirements.

Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Counter Intelligence Polygraph required pre-start.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

Certification/Training Program Requirement:
Selected candidate will be provided specialized training in order to learn the necessary skills related to ground and SV configuration management allowing them to obtain the necessary certifications required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 1 year of Vehicle control or related Test experience.

More than 1 year of experience with Test Program design, test procedure development, and test execution.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.)
