Job Description

Hughes has an opportunity for FPGA Development .

Responsibilities :
Define, simulate, and implement hardware sub-system requirements, and design and develop hardware sub-systems using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and related technologies for a next-generation mobile satellite base-station.

Simulate, implement, integrate, test, and debug hardware sub-systems.

Design, develop, and implement a multi-channel digital up/down converter block on a FPGA for the base-station.

Develop scripts to monitor and verify various system interfaces and parameters, and develop detailed design specifications and documentation.

Perform design reviews and establish and conduct testing routines for hardware sub-systems

Basic Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2 years' experience in FPGA Development for Telecommunications Systems OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 5 years' experience in FPGA Development for Telecommunications Systems.
Experience must include 6 months with each of the following: FPGAs; RTL coding; MATLAB; Simulink; Scopes; Digital Signal Processing; and, Digital/Wireless Communication Theory
