This position is a key member of SHC's core software team and will be responsible for short development cycles and frequent updates to public-facing mobile applications. This position should have a good understanding of mobile applications development.
Designs and implements Android mobile applications.
Performs application development, unit testing, support to QA, and production support
Provides and adheres to best-practices for Android mobile application development
Develops/maintains build systems, tools, and reusable components
Gathers functional requirements to generate technical design specifications and build mobile applications
Other duties as required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Design or a directly-related field from an accredited college or university
3 - 5 years of directly related experience. Prefer at least 1 year of experience developing mobile applications for Android.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Android development environment
Knowledge of disciplined software release build/deploy processes
Knowledge of best practices for implementation of multi-language / international applications
Understanding of Object-Oriented programming and data structures
Experience writing code for multitasking systems
Ability to create and maintain build and unit test systems using the Android or iPhone development toolchains
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work on multiple overlapping projects
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
