The Plumbing Designer or Engineer must be an energetic, self-motivated individual who shall possess the skills required to successfully execute project tasks, have a strong work ethic, and be a dynamic team-oriented individual. This individual will be technically proficient in general utility systems (e.g., plumbing, fire protection, and waste). The Plumbing Designer or Engineer shall possess the ability to work with P&IDs and have experience with creation/ modification of drawings to existing stringent BIM/CAD standards. In addition, this individual shall have strong communication and advanced Revit/AutoCAD skills, as well as experience coordinating with other disciplines (e.g., MEP coordination), including the use of Revit, AutoCAD MEP and Navisworks or other programs to resolve design conflicts. This role will work closely with Mechanical and Process Engineers as well as other internal and external team members.
1 - 5 plus years of experience in a design firm setting required
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, including AutoCAD MEP required
Relevant experience with an A/E firm or equivalent required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Ability to pick up drawing edits / redlines required
Creating system layout and size for domestic water, waste, and vent systems.
Developing performance specifications for fire protection design.
Visiting project sites to analyze existing conditions and/or oversee construction of the plumbing systems.
Developing domestic hot water system designs.
Developing lab gas system designs.
Developing plumbing schematics / one line riser diagrams.
Selecting and creating a fixture schedule.
Picking up drawing edits / redlines.
Setting up project drawings.
Executing construction administration activities.
Managing your own work load schedule without any supervision.
Ensuring that all documents and designs meet Quality Program criteria.
