Responsibilities:
- Responsible for new product development, existing product optimization and/or product improvement
- Provide technical support to others as necessary by answering product-related questions and providing solutions in a variety of capacities
- Provide expertise in the resolutions of product-related issues, product performance, problem solving and product quality
- Supervise and coordinate machine trials for new product development
- Compare and contrast competitive products
- Provide communication between the supplier, the customer and appropriate departments within Knauf
- Interact with industry organizations such as but not limited to ASTM , ASHRAE, and Underwriter’s Laboratories
Qualifications:Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical field
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience providing technical expertise
- Experience with code standard development or energy conservation highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of building and construction industries
- Knowledge of engineering and technology
- Knowledge of thermal/pipe insulation, acoustics or industrial applications highly preferred
- Knowledge of production and processing
- Knowledge of quality control analysis
- Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
- Ability to communicate effectively across various groups including Plant Operations, Engineering and Technical Services
