Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer with strong CAD skills to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products using CAD software. The working environment is fast paced and collaborative, developing exciting products in the home space arena.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and products using CAD software such as
SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality.
- Design and execute cost-saving initiatives for purchasing and manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support to the production team to ensure successful implementation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Conduct research and analysis to resolve design and manufacturing problems.
- Develop prototypes and perform testing to ensure product quality and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and
BOMs.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams.
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing products and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Experience with sourcing, negotiating and managing suppliers and contractors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing or related field.
- Strong CAD skills with experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, and injection molding.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Familiarity with industry standards.
