Collier Engineering is hiring for a Civil Engineer for Transportation:
Collier Engineering is a small family-owned, multi-disciplinary consulting firm that has been a member of the local engineering community for over 40 years. We are seeking a Civil Engineer with extensive background in transportation design engineering plus project management experience.
The ideal candidate will prior involvement with transportation design engineering along with preliminary studies, design calculations and reports, development of construction plans and specifications, cost estimates and permit applications. We are looking for a driven individual who will work collectively with the Design team and has leadership capabilities.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities and Duties:
- Project analysis and planning
- Prepare engineering or technical computations and preparing design solutions.
- Preparation of construction documents including plan and profile plans, erosion control plans, drainage plans, stormwater management, utilities, bridge and culvert details, transportation improvements, and project cost estimates/analysis, etc.
Civil Engineer Required Experience:
- B. S. in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering License in TN
- 5-10 years experience
- Working knowledge of principles and practices
- Proficient in Microstation and Bentley (Open Roads) software packages
- Capable of using Microsoft Office suite with excellent communication skills.
- Team-oriented; excellent communication skills to work with team
- Valid Driver’s License. Must qualify under company auto insurance program.
- Ability to pass a drug test
