From applied research to product development, the Advanced Technology and Systems Division (ATSD) manages complex projects for government and commercial clients. The vision of ATSD is to create competitive advantages for our customers by inventing new technology and concepts resulting in disruptive, low cost, and high-performance solutions. The division advances the state of the art in diverse areas such as radar and electronic warfare; novel imaging technology; robotics; quantum sensing and metrology; marine technology; and applied optics.
From our Ann Arbor, MI or Boulder, CO campus, the Research Engineer, RF Systems will participate in multi-disciplinary, collaborative teams and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art remote sensing solutions and surveillance technologies. As a member of the team, you will engage in cutting-edge development efforts in support of on-going projects, support internal R&D efforts, and assist with developing new programs through proposal development and client engagement. As a part of the team, you must be resourceful and able to work independently in support of new and on-going projects.
Design and simulation of RF circuits and systems, ranging in frequency from UHF to W band
Testing and evaluation of RF circuits and antennas
Troubleshooting of hardware integration issues
Participate in RF system-level design and trade studies
Preparation of documentation and drawings
Requires MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or BS with 5+ years of experience.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Understanding of system-level RF hardware (mixers, amplifiers, filters)
RF cascaded analysis, simulation, and test
Experience operating oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers
For Colorado residents, the salary range is: $83,207 - $140,000. Salary ranges for this role will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles.
