Deere & Company is seeking a VDV Engineer in Ottumwa, IA with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years related experience. Required skills: Build and solve virtual simulations of Finite Element analysis, Multibody Dynamic analysis on Harvesting equipment using Computer aided design and simulation tools (2 yrs); Develop stress analysis load cases, methodology and procedures for different functional and structural assemblies of agricultural equipment through understanding of crop flow and dynamics of different parts of machine (2 yrs); Product development experience by helping cross-functional teams to improve the design by correlating simulation data to a physical test and improve the analysis process to increase accuracy of virtual models predicting different failure modes (2 yrs); Experience in modelling and solving linear and nonlinear structural, analysis of mechanical assemblies (2 yrs). Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 20% telecommuting permitted. 25% domestic and international travel required.
