Job Duties
As a display systems coordinator, you will leverage your technical expertise to coordinate the efforts of cross functional teams to ensure development changes impacting the display system are implemented with utmost quality and on time.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Understand program timelines and plan long-term and short-term deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define critical system requirements.
- Coordinate user story deliverables with the delivery team to ensure expected content is delivered per release expectations.
- Lead feasibility investigations and work with multiple process partners to drive feature development plans.
- Lead the resolution of display software defects found during product development.
- Verify display application specifications have been implemented correctly during integration testing in accordance with documented acceptance criteria.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering + 6 years of systems/requirements experience in the Automotive or Heavy Equipment industry.
- Experience in developing high level feature requirements or change requests and translating them into functional specifications for consumption by software delivery teams.
- Experience in team planning through activities such as story mapping, story estimation and release planning and commitment.
- Well-versed with agile development methodologies.
- Comfortable using Agile workflow tools such as Target Process or DevOps
Top Candidates will also have
- Masters in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering + 4 years of systems/requirements experience in the Automotive or Heavy Equipment industry.
- Software development experience with different UI frameworks
- Strong systems troubleshooting experience using various analytical tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer and WireShark
- Good understanding of automotive protocols – CAN and J1939
- Regular usage of GIT configuration management
- Experience assembling and modifying test bench instrumentation including wiring and harnesses.
- Hands-on experience authoring functional requirements for graphical displays, instrument clusters, infotainment or mobile devices
- Strong attention to detail through all phases of development (requirements, work coordination and integration testing)
- Familiar with using Caterpillar Inc. development tools such as Electronic Technician and WinFlash
