As a Tooling Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical tooling hardware (thermal controller, collateral interface tooling, sockets) design/development/deployment support in new product testing, DFM characterization data analysis, tooling hardware evaluation, advanced technology pathfinding, architecture development, development of test strategy, device library, conducting design review, designing test tooling, performing tooling acceptance, debugging test tooling, resolving design and implementation issues, performs testability and fault coverage analysis, meeting production quality and reliability requirement, and updating test tooling as needed through product life cycle and process support for high volume manufacturing environment.
The responsibilities include setting up plans, schedules daily tasks, uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices, making adequacies decisions and expense of NPI tooling hardware; good network with industry partners; research and develop advanced technology for N-1 across requirements of Intel test platform and product roadmap from pathfinding to high volume manufacturing. Experienced in continuous improvement on areas of technology robustness, quality improvement skills, cost saving knowledge, background of supply chain sustenance, providing technical hardware support on task force and possess statistical knowledge are added advantage
You must posses the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in adition to the minimum and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Master's Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent Technical degree with 2+ years of working experience in a related field.
2 plus years of experience in Manufacturing Tooling Development supporting new product introduction and product/test tooling engineering are essential.
Knowledge in manufacturing environment in handling test tooling, kit handlers, semiconductor testing and lean manufacturing skills are added advantage.
